Jubbaland State of Somalia MOIFAR Mandate

The Ministry of interior , acting under the authority of the Jubbaland State of Somalia (Council of Ministers), is responsible for the overall interior management of the Jubbaland State of Somalia to  and other federal affairs and for the budgets under the responsibility of the regions, which together form the Jubbaland State of Somalia Consolidated affairs. jubbaland moifar had a huge involvement in the  process of resettling the returnees, the jump starting of jubbaland regions council, and tackling of cod19 pandemic. Governance and Local Governance had been boosted by the formation of the JSS administration from 2013 onwards. Regional Governors and District Commissioners have been directly appointed by the President. However, not all districts are accessible to date as there is still significant rebel presence in at least 5 out of 15 districts. It is imperative that elected District Councils are being formed as part of the Wadajir Framework process. Currently, all accessible districts are under appointed administrations (Interim Administrations) coupled with the absence of relevant legal frameworks for local governance (being developed by ministry)
